In patients with early stage lung cancer is still not late to quit smoking
British researchers found that patients with early stage lung cancer timely quit smoking can greatly slow down the proliferation rate of cancer cells for the treatment to gain valuable time, thereby greatly increasing the chances of survival.
University of Birmingham researchers in the “British Medical Journal,” the network edition released the latest of the report pointed out that in the early diagnosis of lung cancer patients, 63% to 70% of patients immediately quit smoking five years later still alive, but the patients who in spite of illness continue to smoke still alive five years later only 29% to 33%.
